  42. MacProject II compares all the task and resource durations for each task and uses the longest of these to calculate the project schedule. The longest durations are said to 
  43. ‚Äúdrive‚Äù the schedule.

  45. If a resource duration is driving the schedule, the number representing the duration and the name of the resource are underlined in the Schedule Chart, Project Table, and Task Info window. The calendar for that resource becomes the calendar for the task.

  50. Durations can be measured in minutes, hours, days, weeks, or months. These are called the units of duration, or duration scale. The unit of duration is used in many other parts of the project, too, including lag times, critical path threshold, and resource costs.
